Same test as last uploaded with some shader work, and I must say, damn! I'm starting to see the real potential! The strength setting on the wavelet should probably be keyed down, maybe I'll re-cache it tonight.
The fire part may be be the best explosion is started to look good. I'd still love to break the smoke shader out from the fire, so I can control them each. See how the fire gets the detail at the core near the bottom? That's the part I would change specifically in the smoke, since smoke doesn't have that kind of detail. The fire also animates a bit strangely but the point is more that the wavelet is totally adding detail like I've been hoping for.
