This is the maiden flight of my new Multiplex Mentor airplane. I got to fly a demo model a month ago and fell in love with this plane, ordered one and got it together and ready to fly and then it rained for 3 days. Friday afternoon the rain quit for a while, so we loaded up and went to the flying field.
Flew the maiden with only minor trim settings while in flight, it flew GREAT with the winds around 10-15 mph (16-24 km/h) and gusting higher, it held it's own and punched right on through the wind. We are flying at our private air field just across the road from where I live in Oklahoma.
The plane weight's in at 4.25 lb (1930 gm) and is powered by a Eflite Power 32 BL motor, 12 x 6 Eflite prop, 60 amp Heads-Up ESC and 2, 3cell 2200mah 20C Zippy lipo batteries, JR XP7202 radio, JR 790 receiver.
