Photographer and MacCreate.com Aperture expert Thomas Boyd finally got sick of listening to Lightroom users say that their application was faster than Aperture. So he set up a controlled experiment to see which was faster.
He imported 600 images into each program, waiting until the respective programs had rendered a sharp version of their images and then movedt to the next image. (This simulates the first-pass and rate workflow of every news, sports and event photographer.)
What did he find? Aperture was not only faster it was FOUR TIMES faster.
This video has the full results of his test.
