125 Years of Ministry: Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future is a video created on the occasion of celebration of the 125th anniversary of Nu'uanu Congregational Church. In 1885, Shinichi Aoki, a theological student arrived in Hawaii from Japan. Soon after his arrival, he began conducting religious services with the assistance of Dr. Charles McEwen Hyde at the Honolulu YMCA. The history of Nu‘uanu Congregational Church has its humble beginnings with these events. On November 21, 2010, the congregation culminated the year-long Quasquicentennial celebration with a special worship service and a "matsuri" during which this video premiered.
