I got a great opportunity to go along for 10 days journey with
with two artist well known for its "frog" "chamelion" "wolf" bodypainter, musician Johannes Stötter from Italian Alps and film director, artist & bodypainter Vilija Vitkute from Lithuania.
Iceland is known as most peaceful country and for its inspireing nature that lots of people dream to visit from all around the world. It's landscape has such a contrast of ice and lava, then you are there you feel special, like you are in other planet, because it's so less of trees,lots of lava Fields. By following the landscape together with Icelandic music like Bjork, Sigur Ros, olafur Arnold's, law roar you can hear, you can read that music in the landscape shapes, textures and feel it. There are more and more tourist coming to Iceland to discover the nature, get inspired by it which is great for them and Iceland economy, but harder for full nature enjoying because of so much tourist around you. But Our journey has been unique one because of the hosts, friends from Iceland that has been around us and join travel with us and showed some more hidden places with no tourist around were Johannes got great opportunity to make 3 body paintings on Vilija in glacier, lava field and skagafoss waterfall. It has been magical to whatch Johannes painting Vilija so fast as landscape were she melted in it, by his colorful brush touches. We worked some nights, one of special ones were in glacier were we waited till 03:00 morning at Jokulsarlong till we're was no tourist in minus 1-5 Johannes bodypainted Vilija as Iceberg in less then hour which in result has been extraordinary to watch.
