Matthew Palm - Series Supervising Producer
Here are two clips from the award-winning documentary television series "American Justice," hosted by Bill Kurtis.
This classic crime procedural aired on the cable network A&E, and set the bar for many similar shows that followed in its path.
As the Series Supervising Producer, I oversaw the entire production process and was directly responsible for delivering more than twenty episodes of hour-long programming a year, and managing a staff of up to thirty people.
I crafted the creative design and vision for the series and managed all production budgets; provided oversight and direction to producers, cameramen, editors, graphic artists, and music composers; supervised story development; wrote and copy-edited scripts; and managed a four-person development team.
I also collaborated closely with network executives on creative content, budget negotiations, branding, marketing, and legal issues.
This long-running series included a reality show spin-off called "Palm Beach Law," and specials ranging from the Scott Peterson trial to the Chicago and Atlanta judge attacks in 2005.
