This is one chapter from the wedding DVD for Pat and Gary, who were recently married at Markinch Parish Church, Fife. It was a fantastic wedding day, starting for me at Markinch Parish Church, where Gary and his Groomsmen were all dressed in tradititonal Highland outfits.
Beautiful Bride Pat arrived in a fantastic classic car and looked very relaxed and serene. The traditional Scottish church ceremony was very pleasant and included a wonderful rendition of 'Amazing Grace' by one of the Guests. I filmed the ceremony with two full hi-definition cameras, with the edit cutting carefully between the cameras to keep the viewing interesting and varied.
After the ceremony the Newlyweds departed for the beautiful Balbirnie House Hotel. This is a very grand wedding and reception venue, with beautiful gardens which the guests made full use of for the champagne reception. Gary and Pat provided some fantastic entertainment for the Guests, with crazy pipe band 'The Pokey Hats' providing an alternative rendition of 'Amazing Grace' as part of their repertoire. I recorded these guys at another wedding at The George Hotel in Edinburgh, they're great fun and highly recommended!
This video clip shows 'The Pokey Hats' (also known as 'The Gutty Slippers) entertaining the Guests in the grounds of Balbirnie House Hotel.
This was a really fantastic wedding day, one of my favourites of 2010 and I look forward to going back to Balbirnie in future.
