Compulsion is a short film created for Grand Valley State University's Image and Sound class. The requirement for the assignment was to interpret "40 Day Dream" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros in a unique way, then create a film based on the story derived from it.
The class required that the story must be told strictly in visuals and sound effects. Completely without dialogue.
The sound effects are entirely scored and produced in post.
My resulting story follows the life of Terrence Petersen, a depressed, obsessive-compulsive young adult mourning the loss of his wife.
