Alexander Voyce is a Medic in the 82nd Airborne Division, based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Alex joined the US Army in January of 2007 after graduating from high school. He is now a Specialist E4 with a recon and target acquisition unit. He returned from his first tour in Afghanistan in late August 2009. Alex’s brigade lost 37 soldiers during his deployment. In October of 2011 the 82nd will return to Afghanistan, venturing into the volatile western part of the country, only tens of miles from the border with Pakistan. During his first deployment Alex stopped hearing from his wife, who was taking care of their three-year-old daughter. Upon returning to the states Alex discovered that she had been unfaithful and they are now going through divorce proceedings. This documentary focuses on Alex as a single dad in the United States Army, balancing a divorce, a full time job and a 3 year old.
