Bonnie Hodges graduated with a B.A. in Studio Arts from the University of Maryland in 1967. She worked as an illustrator for the U.S. Department of State for seven years (1962 - 1969). Since then, she has worked with galleries, and has done many private commissions. Bonnie's beautiful and life-like paintings are in the style of Realism. Bonnie prefers to work in oils and pastels, but has also done many watercolors, gouaches, acrylics, oil pastels, pencils, and pen and inks. Bonnie also enjoys working with digital/computer-generated art (Painter 11, Photoshop), stained glass, and sculpture. Bonnie's work has been featured in galleries, national and international art shows, and is on display in collections in the USA and Europe.
