SatnaMusic releases Sid Hille's second soundscape-recording UGETSU (SatnaMusic LP/CD 162) on August 25th, 2016 at the Viapori Jazz Festival in Helsinki, Finland, on vinyl and CD.
On his second soundscape-release Sid Hille plays again (like on his 2011 release ONE) the piano, the Fender Rhodes electric piano, synthesizers (ao. Korg MS20, Arturia MicroBrute, iPod NanoStudio), theremin, percussion and voice.
On this new recording guest musicians Jukka Perko (soprano saxophone), Anni Elif Egecioglu (voice), Virpi Taskila ( voice) and Teemu Viinikainen (guitar) are contributing to one song each.
The UGETSU refers to the 1953 film of japanese director Kenji Mizoguchi, a mysterious masterpiece.
Literally translated UGETSU means 'Moon' and 'Rain'; on the vinyl release 'moon' and 'rain' each are the guiding theme for one of the sides.
Sid Hille soundscapes were recorded and co-produced by Tipi Tuovinen.
