The greatness of India can never be measured. It can only be felt in its people, places and cultures.
After Nizamabad, its Jaisalmer this time.
The true beauty of Jaisalmer lies in the richness of its stone carvings and ornamentation exhibiting a plethora of floral patterns intermingled with innumerable geometric motifs. This creative precision brings a nuance in the drab environs of the desert city.
In an effort to promote this craft, INTACH Delhi, organised a design development workshop with the artisans and made a documentary film.
As I share my second documentary “Stories Set In Stone- Jaisalmer” with all of you, I’d like to thank the entire crew without whom this would remain as a figment of my imagination.
Here’s to experiencing Jaisalmer in a never-seen-before light. Cheers!
