Early Fluid Simulation Experiment for an Upcoming Game Project.
Just goes to show that a little bit of optomising goes a long way.
This is an example using a recently implemented 'spatial grid' class that my partner Ben Kenny ( aka, Snookle ) whipped up. We wrinkled most of the bugs out, however there's a lot more optomising to go.
There's also another feature which we were using for debugging - which I thought I'd leave in for this video and that's the neighbour highlighting. Particles under the cursor are Red, its 'neighbours' ( that is, particles in the surrounding spatial grids ) are highlighted in green.
Running in C# using the XNA Framework. Total of 500 Particles, Target : 60fps.
