The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and businesses on University Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin celebrated the grand re-opening of this busy thoroughfare on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010. This is video two of two of the ceremony.
Following several months of road construction which greatly affected traffic flow on the street and into their businesses, the business community in this area of Madison cut the ribbon on an open avenue to their businesses for the busy holiday season.
The Re-Opening celebration welcomed more than 50 attendees and was hosted by UW Credit Union with refreshments provided by Metcalfe's Market. The ceremony was started with with a welcome from UW Credit Union CEO Paul Kundert, followed by remarks from Chamber President Jennifer Alexander and City of Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz.
The ribbon cutting included University Avenue business owners, members of the GMCC's Small Business Advisory Council and staff of the City of Madison who worked on this construction project in addition to Chamber President Jennifer Alexander and Chamber Ambassadors.
