Surfing soundwaves is music for electronics and video-projections. A sounding interpretation of the act of wave surfing and an exploration of the possibility to create music that captures and recreates physical movement, kinetic energy, experiences and moments of flow.
This was not an attempt to make the dopest surf video, other's do that better. It's rather an experiment on how to use and adapt music to enhance action sport visuals. To give the listener/viewer a closer look into the mental and physical effort of the practitioner and amplify the imagining of movement and energy in visuals.
The surf-data, video and soundscape that the music is based on was recorded on december 31st (2015) and january 31st (2016). The location was a surf-break outside of Stockholm (swedish surfer's will know which one ;) ) and the surfer I measured for speed, turn angle, force etc. was Love Berggren (big thanks!!).
