Cannabis, alcohol, and all so-called recreational drugs can be dangerous to health. Prohibition, however, harms societies.
Our failure to legislate and license drugs makes criminals of otherwise law-abiding people. Many people fall foul of both their own drug taking and the drug laws because of this, as has been shown on many occasions. This bad situation is exacerbated by denial on the part of policy-makers, who ignore all evidence to the contrary.

For what it's worth, I don't smoke anything, I don't drink alcohol and I don't take illegal drugs. I do support the need for urgent change in our attitudes and laws.
