Found a *great* tutorial on Mocha from Mathias Möhl, that guy rocks. So, had to try it out.
This clip has two parts. The first is exported from After Effects in H264-1080p/24. The second (watermarked) is rendered as cineform-1080p/24. Both were them brought into Premier Pro and tailed together. In both cases, the original After Effects used cineform 4:2:2 codec. The only difference was the export. It really holds up a lot better doesn't it. I guess the extra compress into H264 really hurts.
Looks like it really is worth the purchase. Also, it is SOOO much nicer to edit with then my native canon files(5d). The mercury engine is nice, but since I don't have a Matrox card on my iMac, it really is a little painful still to use the files straight from thh camera.
Sorry for all the chewing and swallowing, had a mouthful of Good-n-Plentys. :-)
