A handsome swimmer takes a daily dip in the river Dart. She adores him, and eagerly awaits each visit, until the day that he turns up with a girlfriend. In a fit of jealous rage, the river drowns her rival, and the grieving man vows never to return. The Dart is left broken-hearted. Terrible.
We’re delighted to announce that Kerry Andrew’s Dart’s Love won the Best Stage Work Award in the 2014 British Composer Awards. We commissioned and developed Dart’s Love and produced the premiere in our 2013 Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival.
