Our proposal for the Boring Collection by Lensvelt and Furniture Encounters exhibition design for Salone Del Mobile 2016.
It is not about furniture, it is about furniture encounters. This exhibition does not focus on the collection of furniture itself, but highlights visitors and their experience. By forming a dialogue between people and the collection, a new interactive experience can be created.
We used mirroring effect for creating the dialogue. The repetition of frame represents linear time line and continuation of space. People interfere this fixed setting, and become standing out themselves, and at the same time become a part of this exhibition.
