This was shot during my last train ride from Kalamazoo to Chicago. I was moved by the way the morning sunlight danced through the trees on the freshly fallen snow, so I decided to capture it with what I had, my MacBook iSight. The window of the train almost seemed weep in response to the passing countryside where I grew up. I immediately thought of the song Half Acre by Hem, which almost could have been written for that morning. The video hardly does the scene justice, but it might give you a sense of the experience.
