Documenting a Participatory Video (PV) Facilitation in North West Ethiopia. Farmers from a village in Wage Wargaje decide to learn how to become filmmakers to share new farming and adaptation techniques with their peers.
The women farmers worked extra hard. They made a second video detailing how to make their new fuel-saving stoves. They want to use this as marketing material for selling the stoves to nearby communities. They impressed us all by making 2 short films in a day, having learned how to film the day before.
All this was made possible by the Ethiopian and Netherlands Red Cross Societies, to whom I am grateful. Thanks also to Ida Benedetto, alumni of the Parson's New School of Design in New York who facilitated the sessions.
