Asteria is a choreographic project that questions temporality. Christine Bonansea develops the piece through an iterative process of composition using the idea of "eternal recurrence, a central point in the writings of Nietzsche. She creates a recurrent choreographic structure with the variety of Asteria. In a cyclic energetic space, women soli interconnect and reveal the potential body transformation through the time.
ASTERIA has been created since 2015 with various iterations at the San Francisco International Festival 15, Danspace project-Food for thought - NYC, Dock11- Berlin, shared program 2015, Judson Church- NYC, Jan 2016 . This summer after working at the Centre National de La Danse Paris in July, Christine Bonansea creates a unique and completed form of ASTERIA for an Europeen premiere August 12-14 2016 at DOCK11- Berlin.
