Again, nothing remarkable here.
My new Canon HF S21 won't arrive until tomorrow so went out with the ol' Aiprek H-12. Last time (see previous Deer vid last month or so) it was all hand-held and a lot of shaking and focus searching. This time I decided to lug my good tripod with me with the nice smooth pan head. Made for a nice improvement!
I kept the legs fully extended at all times so I would be at the ready as soon as I spot deer. Had to give up my walking stick. The park was full of deer, as usual. Only saw 3 other humans all day- and that was on my way out. Nice.
In one spot you can see me walking up to some deer, a couple walk away but one takes a step towards me...inquisitive...or getting ready to attack.....you see me retreating. Didn't want this turning into a deer attacks man video!
So, the Aiptek did a lot better with focusing at full optical zoom when used on a steady tripod. A lesson learned.
Edited In CS5 PremPro and I did auto adjust the color and contrast in all the clips. It is dreary outside this time of year so not much color anyhow.
