A documentary short by David Wallace. "In God's Name - Hate Is the Abomination" was the name of a peaceful demonstration held in Brooklyn, NY, on Dec. 16, 2010, the eve of the National Remembrance Day. It featured a group of speakers from New York's Jewish community, including two rabbis, who were challenging the anti-LGBT rhetoric used by a few of New York's Orthodox rabbis, particularly Rabbi Yehuda Levin, who has stated that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were God's punishment for New York having created a registry for Domestic Partnerships. Rabbi Levin has also blamed Hurricane Katrina's destruction of New Orleans and the earthquake in Haiti on homosexuals.
After the speeches, participants marched through the heavily Jewish neighborhood before stopping to say the Mourners Kaddish.
