This initial public hearing of the newly-formed, Waterboro Charter Review Commission, took place during a snowy, Monday evening at Waterboro Town Hall.
The hearing was intended to receive public comment regarding views about the structure of Town Government as it exisits today, and questioning what potential changes should be made moving forward. Audience participants included Selectmen Jon Gale, and State Representative Aaron Libby.
There was general concensus by the committee that additional public input should be solicited due to low turnout at this initial public hearing, likely due to a late-breaking snowstorm and slippery roads.
The Town of Waterboro would like to encourage it's citizens to become familiar with the existing Town Charter and to let their voices be heard regarding any changes which should or should not take place.
