Although the inherent idea behind timelapse is to accelerate time, shooting timelapse has taught me to slow down and take in the world around me. So often, amidst the business and stresses of everyday life, we lose our appreciation of the world around us. There is though something extraordinary to be found in even the most ordinary of places - all we need do is open our eyes. This video documents the progression of my travels from the English greenery of Durham, to the futuristic skyscrapers of Dubai, finishing with the astounding natural beauty of the Phi Phi Islands.
I hope that, via the perspective of timelapse, this video comes close to capturing the diversity and immense beauty of the Middle-East, South-East Asia, as well as locations much closer to home.
