We are a queer DIY film festival based in London.
Wotever DIY Film Festival 2016 takes place on 3-4 September 2016.
Set up in 2012, our mission is to showcase the best DIY, low and no budget film from the LGBTQIA+ community.
The festival is part of Wotever World, a queer arts, performance and activism collective based in London. A regular programme of events take place at Bar Wotever, held weekly at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
Since our launch in 2012, the festival has grown from a one-evening event to a year long programme of screenings and workshops, culminating in a 2 day festival. 2014 and 2015 saw us taking up residence in the beautiful Cinema Museum, while 2016’s event will be held between the 3-4 September at DIY Space for London.
We screen the best (and cheapest) film from queer film makers, professionals and enthusiastic amateurs and show that you don’t need a gazillion quid to make a cracking film. We’re also constantly working towards greater inclusivity and accessibility and believe that film making and viewing should be for everyone, regardless of your budget.
