This is the extended trailer for a documentary produced and directed by Meria Cairns, a.k.a., "me."
With this documentary, I had hoped to introduce the concepts of empathy and compassion to the U.S. (an onerous and futile task, of course.) Sadly, I realized after having gotten into numerous discussions with many, many Americans, that the only thing that'll bring empathy and compassion for the less fortunate to the U.S.A. is for the majority of Americans to lose their homes, cars, jobs--everything. Once they've lost it all, then, and only then, (we hope!) will Americans begin to understand how stressful it is to be poor--especially when you're homeless--and the importance of helping those less fortunate than we are (high taxes and all.)
Good luck, America. You're gonna need it.
