Some of the delegates to the international conference Building a Nuclear Weapon-Free World, held in Astana, Kazakhstan in August 2016, traveled to Semey, site of the Soviet Union's Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site that operated throughout the Cold War. Part of that group visited the monument to the victims of the Soviet nuclear tests in Kazakhstan. The monument is called "Stronger Than Death." Parliamentarians, religious leaders and members of civil society read "The Nuclear Prayer," written by the Rt. Rev. William E.
