Something to think about over the holiday season...

The message I was trying to convey with the Tax Deductible project was to hopefully make people more giving during the Christmas period. When we are are spending a lot of money on gifts, food etc we could all spare a little for those who have nothing. That is why I thought I would have all the posters up in Monaco and Cannes which are amongst some of the wealthiest places on earth. Monaco also being a tax haven and giving to charities is tax deductible, I thought it well suited to put up these posters on some of the iconic places of Monaco and Cannes on Christmas night. Which symbolically I thought was important.
I took these pictures in Cambodia in some of the poorest slums and wanted to shoot some of the portraits with the juxtaposition of shooting a child living in some of the worst condition in a set up context with a champagne bottle which is one of the western symbols of wealth to provoke the viewer a little bit.
