EL BESO (THE KISS)

EL BESO (THE KISS)

Ricardo De la Tejera

A young mother and her elder son Edgar are returning to Mexico after a couple of years-stay in Texas to pay homage to her younger son Oscar who passed away before they left for the USA.

Edgar has a video game to be offered at Oscars grave.

At the cemetery they find the Oscar´s body missing from the grave and they are told the payment to own the right to the grave was long overdue. Therefore the body was moved to a common grave at an old cemetery where Edgar goes by himself and offers the video game to his late brother as a sign of remorse.

The following night Oscar shows in Edgar´s dreams and returns the video game and a bottle of tequila which he says was offered to him by some lady at the same common grave.

They don´t care for physical stuff where Oscar is now, all they need is love and to be remembered.

Oscar then kisses his brother Edgar on his cheek and goes away.

The story sheds light on the fact that dead people don´t seek revenge.

They don´t long for any gifts.

We should give while we are alive; love everyone while they are around and never take chances to regret in the future when people we love are long gone.

I was the executive producer as well as an actor in the film.
