In 2016, Construction began on the DAPL (Dakota Access Pipeline).
This pipeline would run under the Missouri River near the Standing Rock Sioux reservation.
On September 7, groups from around the country gathered in Bismarck, North Dakota to begin a two day journey down the river in protest.
This home video footage was shot during the departure of their journey.
