It is worth the trip to Monkey Mia, Western Australia to experience the daily beach visit by a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins. Any tour of the tranquil bay to see the sea life is also worth the trip on its own. We had amazing luck on our three hour tour. We ended up having the $1M catamaran to ourselves. Our tour found dolphins for the first time in a week - at least two pods visited us. And to top that, we had the treat of seeing a Dugong with calf.
To think I almost chose not to "waste" $25 on what turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had...
One one beach we were finding a bunch of small shells in great condition. After a while someone noticed their bag of shells was moving. Turned out that all of the good shells had tiny crazy crabs in them!
