A sneak peek into "The Voyager Project" by LubDub Theatre Company
// Summer Residency at Franklin School for the Performing Arts, 2016 //
A stranger washes ashore, and the inhabitants of a small coastal village must test the depths of their hospitality. Performed by the ensemble, this original physical theater pieces orbits questions of arrival and belonging. This devised piece formed in response to three sources: Gabriel García Marquez’s fable “The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World,” John Masefield’s “Lollingdon Downs,” and the skewed trove of cultural artifacts onboard the 1977 Voyager satellite.
