Collard greens is one of the most nutrient dense, yet overlooked vegetables in existence. They’re one of my favorites to include in my personal diet and in my fighter’s diets as well. During training camp, this is the first thing Daniel Cormier eats each day. This is his absolute favorite!
My approach to preparing collard greens is a little bit different than the way you’ve seen them traditionally prepared. This recipe is a bit shorter and very easy to make. Check out the step by step video. Give it a shot! Hope you enjoy it.
One bushel (10-12 leaves) of collard greens
Thumb size piece (1 oz) of turmeric
4 cloves of garlic
1 whole shallot
Thumb size piece (1 oz) of ginger
Coconut oil (2 tbsp)
Himalayan Salt (to taste)
Ground Pepper (to taste)
