In 1620 the Mayflower ship sail from England to establish a colony in the New World. Those 102 passengers, now known as Pilgrims, are remembered during Thanksgiving. Today, an estimated 35 million people could be descended from them.
Many people are familiar with the history of the Mayflower but few know where the journey began. Years before their departure, helped by a certain William Brewster, a group of Pilgrims sought sanctuary in Scrooby Manor, Nottinghamshire.
All that remains of this once palatial building is an old farmhouse. Current owner, Julie Dunstan, seeks out historian, Sue Allan, to help her investigate the secrets of her family home. What they discover, if correct, writes a new story.
