In this workshop, Dr. Lambird talks about the Art of Sleeping. This workshop will help you understand the myths about sleeping, identify the factors contributing to poor sleep, and apply specific strategies to fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly.
Kathleen Lambird, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and staff clinician at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services. She has been at CAPS since 2005. She earned her doctorate in the UCLA Clinical Psychology program.
Dr. Lambird has special training in health psychology issues including sleep problems, pain, and eating disorders. Other clinical interests include depression, anxiety, substance use, self-esteem, family conflict, multicultural and first-generation student issues.
Dr. Lambird’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative, and includes cognitive-behavioral interventions and interpersonal work. She enjoys leading groups, offering Coping with Insomnia and a therapy group for graduate students each quarter.
