This is a little ditty I wrote and performed.
Shattered dreams, and a heart gone cold
On a long winter's evening, alone by myself
Wondering what happened to that Innoncent child
always so happy, so carefree and wild
Year after year, life had taken it's toll
carving impression on this tarnished old soul
When you came in to my life, I didn't know,
I was too far gone, to even notice your glow,
Still you stuck 'round with me, you stood by my side,
you saw past my anger and you loved me inside

There's simply no way to tell you what you have done
you've opened my heart and you've let in the sun
you've showed me there's faith where I was sure there was none
and when I try to express it, the words just don't come

whenever I need you, you're never that far
When I feel lonely or I'm hurt and sad,
I feel you're love and I can only be glad
That day after day, life's been such a joy,
playing each moment, like a five year old boy
Who's filled with wonder and a sense of awe,
my heart skips a beat, whenever you call
Brand new dreams and a heart set free,
you've ignited that flame that's burning deep inside me
