Updated version of my College Weekend Movie Festival project "Liv on the Edge". So here is the deal. Tuesday night at 10pm they gave us a genre (fantasy) and a character ("The honorable" Mark Hill - Beauty pagent judge) a line of dialogue for him to say ("How many finger's am I holding up?") and two more lines of dialogue that anyone can say ("You've been selected to receive a free satellite system" and "You didn't just say that") and we had a prop (candy bar).
We then had until Thusday at noon to write, get locations and cast this flick. We also had to have storyboards, a location log and contact info for our entire team, all tucked away in a pretty little binder.
Then from Thursday at noon (pending approval of binder) you got your equipment and was off to shooting. We got 2XL2's, 2 1k's, a 650 and a 300, a bunch of stands, booms mics, etc. And we had until Sunday at 5pm to have it shot and edited and turned in. Length could be no longer than 6 minutes.
So anyways, this version is a little more edited than the one that got turned in originally, but today, we actually found out that when we laid back our video to tape in final cut, we forgot to change the audio settings and didn't have any sound (and we didn't check it before we left, because we got there with 4 minutes to spare). So we got to turn in another copy today, but it is not eligible for votes (I turned in almost this exact copy, after I edited for a few hours, since we wont get voted on anyways, I wanted to atleast turn in something I was more proud of) but it will still play at the Carnegie Theatre! It was a bummer about the voting, but I am more happy that I get a version showed that I am more proud of. Who needs awards anyways... right?
Anyways, enjoy and comments are welcomed and appreciated!
