I met Sara Safari in one of her fundraising events back in 2015 and got very impressed by her story and also very touched by Nepali girls life. I decided to turn all those into a film. She liked the idea and gave me all the footage she and her climbing friend, John Johnson, had. I also asked her for some additional filming in her 2015 Winter trip to Nepal.
In Climb Your Everest, Sara Safari and Jeffrey Kottler recount the thrilling tale of Sara’s climb to the top of Mount Everest for a cause: bringing awareness to the plight of marginalized girls and victims of child sex trafficking around the world. Sara wanted to empower children who’d been cast aside by society, so she set out on a journey fraught with obstacles and life-threatening peril.

This is my first real documentary! I really loved the subject and enjoyed all the interviews with Safari.
