As any other political entity, South America is a fiction, an imagined object (which is not to say false) appearing in the individual and collective consciousness as a game of intertextuality. Each of us is expected to construct this fictive object for herself, and failing to do so is a serious political crime.
an a-z beginner's guide to south america aims at playfully engaging the texts we build our South America(s) from, in the attempt to explore the often obscured discursive processes that ground our socio-political "realities".
