A feature-length documentary coming in 2019. "What She Said" tells the story Pauline Kael, longtime New Yorker film critic and best-selling author, and her battle to make a name for herself -- fueled by unrelenting self-confidence and a deep love of the arts.
Sarah Jessica Parker voices Pauline through her writing, letters and interviews.
With over 30 new interviews (including Quentin Tarantino, Paul Schrader, Francis Ford Coppola and Alec Baldwin) and never-before seen archival footage, film clips and the movie shows an unvarnished Pauline Kael, and show how she came to be loved, despised, feared and worshipped.
The film is also a trip through late 20th century movies, as seen through Pauline's unique eye.
