Examples demonstrate how accountability works on the Internet to overcome the secret darkness of pornography and sexual exploitation in our culture. As leaders, we must shape behavior using technology. We are leaders, we must go first – the speed of the leader is the speed of the pack.
Mr. DeHaas started Covenant Eyes in 2000 with a passion to help families protect their children from the dark side of the Internet. After losing one family (wife and two children) in 1992 to a car accident, he wasn’t about to lose another family to pornography. Now, 15 years later, hundreds of thousands of families have benefited from true accountability and relationship-building tools that encourage trust on the Internet. Thousands of young adults who were raised with Covenant Eyes Accountability give testimony to how that protection has carried into their adult lives. Mr. DeHaas is a Ph.D. Candidate from the University of Michigan, and is also Director of Nehemiah Ministries, a retreat and counseling center for clergy and missionaries.
