For several years, the University of Western Australia under the guidance of JayJay Zifanwe has been recognised as a centre of excellence for virtual art and artists, with regular art competitions, extensive galleries and stunning works on display.
Today this is under threat due to budget cuts at UWA. Most, but not all, of the existing regions will disappear. We talk to JayJay, and curator FreeWee Ling to discover what will go and what will stay; find out the likely path for the future, and see some of the exhibits before they disappear.
We also hear from several artists who have been involved with UWA who pay tribute to its innovation and unique place in the world of virtual art.
