The Arkansas Goat Festival was the brainchild of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute's Uncommon Communities initiative for economic development in 2016. It's a free family-friendly fun day to celebrate everything good about goats, and often includes a goat parade, goat costume contest, goat races,
cheese-making demos, a goatee contest, a “celebrity goat milking’ contest, and and America's GOAT Talent show. Goat Fest innovators hope to develop a goat-play structure at the city park to have "the only goat park in the country." The festival is in Perryville, Arkansas, about 45 miles from Little Rock
