EPISODE SEVEN was filmed the afternoon and evening of September 20, 2016 on a Tuesday. Rosie was staying in the Bay Area for two days on her way down to Yosemite from Vancouver BC where she lives. As this episode opens, Rosie is riding through Sausalito near sunset with her dog Winston and then Anna and Rosie gear up in front of A Bicycle Odyssey in Sausalito. We then ride around various parts of the Bay Area and the video is not in the sequence that we rode. We managed to be at the Marin Headlands right at sunset and Rosie set up a "jumping" shot at sunset (nod to Phillippe Halsman's jumpology) and then in the night time we managed to go across the Golden Gate Bridge and then the Oakland Bay Bridge after a quick ride through San Francisco and some speed tour of the crooked Lombard street and Coit Tower. All footage filmed on three cameras, Sena 10C, GoPro and Canon.
Lipstick and Dirt was conceived in December of 2015. This is an ongoing project focusing on women who ride motorcycles and subsequently are agents of change.
Special thanks to Jay Joo and Sena Technologies for the camera and communicator equipment used in many of the action parts of the video. Thanks to Tony and Michele Kuttner for being the lodging host to Rosie and Winston in Alameda.
