Dr. Don G. Pickney begins his journey this week in a teaching series that delves into God’s created glory and its purpose in the earth. Almighty God is indescribably glorious. Thus, all of His works reflect that glory. Drawing from his omniscient knowledge and wisdom, as He put in motion His plan and purpose for Earth, God was filled with His glory. For eons of eternity backwards he had lived in the incredible beauty and joys of His abode in Heaven. As Earth was being formed, all of the ingredients that God had Himself enjoyed in Heaven were placed in His planet, Earth in its raw form buried beneath the earth’s surface. The gold of which the streets of Heaven were made, was placed within the earth. Beginning with Adam in the Garden, God immediately began instilling in mankind the value of the gold He had placed just under the earth’s crust.
Genesis 2:10-12 AMP “Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four [river] heads. (11) The first is named Pishon; it is the one flowing around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. (12) The gold of that land is of high quality; bdellium (pearl?) and onyx stone are there.”
“Adam,” God said, “There is gold and jewels in those hills out there – and the gold is GOOD!”
Heaven contained precious and semi-precious metals and jewels and now, with His creation of Earth, He included them in Earth’s formation. In the Apostle John’s “Revelation” we have a depiction of his vision of the great heavenly Jerusalem that adorns God’s city:
Revelation 21:18-23 KJV “And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. (19) And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; (20) The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. (21) And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. (22) And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (23) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
It is important to come to the realization that God wanted man to have the ability to find access to and appreciate all of the beauty of which Heaven enjoys. It is a reflection of His “created glory.” It is the work of His glorious hands!
As this teaching series continues, you will see planet Earth as God’s possession. Furthermore, you will see the biblical foundation for why it is that as believers, His elect Church, the body of Christ, should have physical possession and the use of the Earth’s wealth. I call it “Earth-ability.” To live in this earth without partaking of what is valuable of God’s created glory within the earth, is a curse of great proportion. To be in the earth without “Earth-ability” means that “others” besides God’s own children have control and power over God’s possession. The scripture is clear:
Proverbs 13:22 AMP “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.”
