Impressions from the Saharawi Refugee Camps near Tindouf, Algeria
SAHARAWI VOICE PROJECT
Young Saharawis living in Refugee Camps learn how to effectively use computers, internet and social media to carry out their voice into a world detached from all geographical boundaries. The goal is, besides of teaching them important computer skills, to develop a website (http://www.saharawivoice.com) with the young saharawis, where they can tell the story of their life in the refugee camps (with 35 years of existence they are on of the oldest refugee camps in the world) using short films, photos and written articles and provide them the possibility to start a intercultural dialog via internet with the rest of the world, freeing them from the geographical isolation they are living in.
