As part of my Doctoral research into multimodal assessment across the disciplines, I'm undertaking an ethnographic study of an undergraduate course in Architectural Design. Last Friday (14 October 2016) the architecture students staged a pop-up exhibition comprising the 2000+ models they have made over the last month. Across five hours I took photographs and recorded sounds as students set up the venue, placed models on display and then attended an exhibition of their own work. I've quickly gathered together the gathered sights and sound in a video (pop-up video?) as a record of what took place. It could prove to be a useful piece of video ethnography that I return to in my research.
