The research Microcluster Globalization, Tourism and Heritage is based on an interdisciplinary group of researches focused on the creative industries. The interdisciplinary team is composed of Art, Cultural Heritage, Management and Computer Engineering professors who work together in order to offer new business opportunities for Creative Industries, with a special focus on ICT implication.
The use of drones and adaptation in the field of creative industries is one of the investigation lines which has been continuously developed since 2010 within the Micro Cluster of Investigation MCI. In recent years, the MCI has directed several research projects and contracts related to this topic on a national, european and international level, mainly addressing to the following fields:
- Sustainable management of the public art
- Preservation practices of intangible heritage
- Cultural inclusive policies
- Creative cities
- Cultural tourism
